		<description>Our 2012 Confirmation Class (for interested youth in 8th grade and above) begins meeting on Sunday, February 12, from 12:30&#45;2:00pm in the Session Room. We&#39;ll eat lunch together and begin our engaging discussions of the Christian faith. Our plan is meet together for seven consecutive Sundays, from February 12 through March 25, with a special worship service at the end of April to officially confirm our youth as adult members of First Pres. 		<description>The Committee on Ministry of Whitewater Valley Presbytery January 25 approved the APNC&amp;rsquo;s choice of Arianne Lehn for the position of Associate Pastor of First Presbyterian Church. She will deliver her candidating sermon at the 10:00am service Sunday, February 5. A congregational vote will occur in a called meeting immediately following the service. 		<description>In the Theater through January 29 are two beautiful parables about love and loss: The Year of Magical Thinking starring Adrienne Baach, and Shakespeare&amp;rsquo;s Will starring Nancy Kartholl. Each performs twice a weekend, running in rotating repertory (Friday at 7:30pm, Saturday at 5:00pm and 7:30pm, and Sunday at 2:00pm) so you can see them both on Saturdays. After the Sunday, January 22, matinee of The Year of Magical Thinking Grief Counselor Dar Richardson will moderate a discussion, &amp;ldquo;Understanding the Grief Process.&amp;rdquo; Box Office hours are noon&#45;5:00pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 		<description>First Presbyterian makes annual scholarships in the amount of $1,000 available to qualifying members and children of members to provide financial assistance in pursuit of post&#45;secondary education.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Recipients may be of any age, as long as they are taking degree directed courses. A total of $4,000 will be made available to an individual student, over the course of four, not necessarily consecutive, years. In addition, loans are available for those seeking church related vocations and staff needing assistance for graduate work. If interested, contact Lisa Yarian in the Financial Office for more information and an application. Completed applications are due April 1.
