February APNC Report

With the congregational approval on February 5 of Arianne Lehn as our new Associate Pastor, the work of the APNC has been concluded. You of the congregation graciously voted to dismiss us from the PNC/APNC task that has occupied us for the past year. We thank you for your support and trust, which, along with the strong sense of God’s guidance, sustained us throughout this incredible journey. We also would like to recognize and thank Bill Werling, of Grace Presbyterian Church, who has faithfully served as the Presbytery COM representative to our committee. 

January APNC Report 

Before Christmas the APNC completed four interviews for the position of Associate Pastor and heard one sermon delivered from a neutral pulpit. Three of the interviews were face to face while one was by Skype. These interviews and the sermon experience helped us solidify our choice of the candidate we would like to call as our new Associate Pastor. The next step is to accompany our candidate to the next Presbytery Committee on Ministry meeting in Indianapolis on January 25 where she will be questioned by the COM for suitability in matching the kind of church we are and our AP job description. Your Associate Pastor Nominating Committee is into what has become a familiar routine: We are reading Pastor Information Forms, conducting interviews both face to face as well as via Skype, and are about to experience a candidate’s sermon delivered at a neutral pulpit.
